Mägo de Oz (Spanish for Wizard of Oz, with a metal umlaut) are a Spanish folk metal band from Begoña, Madrid formed in mid-1988 by drummer Txus di Fellatio. The band became well known for the strong Celtic feel to their music strengthened through their consistent usage of a violinist and flautist.

Finisterra is a 2000 album by the Spanish folk metal band Mägo de Oz. It narrates the story of Satania, a fictional society in the future where life depends on the Internet and computers. This was caused in the beginning of the 21st century, when the Third World, under the name of "Batallón de la Cochambre", made a revolution called "la guerra del hambre" (the war of hunger).

Mägo de Oz has been a band with a very interesting musical background. They started as a hard rock band with Celtic touches, and they always included music instruments like flutes and violins. This isn't new since REAL music legends such as Jethro Tull or Ñu included these elements many years before Mägo de Oz existed.
