The UK Albums Chart is a record chart based on weekly album sales in the United Kingdom; during the 1960s, a total of 57 albums reached number one. The sources are the Melody Maker chart until March 1960, and the Record Retailer chart from March 1960 onwards. Six artists spent 20 weeks or more at number one on the albums chart during the 1960s. Eight record labels spent 20 weeks or more at number one on the albums chart during the 1960s.

Sheffield is a city and metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, its name derives from the River Sheaf, which runs through the city Following the departure of the Romans, the Sheffield area may have been the southern part of the Brittonic kingdom of Elmet, with the rivers Sheaf and Don forming part of the boundary between this kingdom and the kingdom of Mercia. Gradually, Anglian settlers pushed west from the kingdom of Deira.

The Who have been with several labels over the years. In the United Kingdom and elsewhere outside North America, they were signed originally to Brunswick Records. In 1966, they moved to Polydor Records and took the rights to their Brunswick recordings with them. Released: 1994-07-05. The Who were featured on two songs from Pete Townshend's solo album The Iron Man: The Musical by Pete Townshend, which was released in 1989. Songs performed – "Fire" and "Dig".

Norman Sheffield (25 September 1939 – 20 June 2014) was a music and advertising industry figure, most noted for his music industry recording and management roles, ownership of the former Trident Studios, and being the original manager of the rock band Queen. Sheffield was born in Enfield, the son of Walter Sheffield, a panel beater. He was educated at Albany Boys School.

Turner was born and raised in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, the only child of two secondary school teachers. When he was 16, he and three friends formed Arctic Monkeys. Their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), became the fastest-selling debut album in British history and was ranked at No. 30 on Rolling Stone's list of the greatest debut albums of all time. The band's subsequent studio albums, Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Humbug (2009), Suck  . Each of his eight studio albums have reached number one on the UK Album Chart. The UK's Top 100 biggest artist albums of the week is compiled by the Official Charts Company, based on sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl and weighted audio streams. It is a scaled down theater tour, but I've read that sales are soft. That may have changed, only because of publicity generated from the new album. However, "Madame X" still had a swift and brutal drop down the charts in only its second week. Obviously, Bruce Springsteen has a bit more respect for the credibility of his musical art than Madonna does.
