The English hard rock band Def Leppard have released 11 original studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, one cover album, and three extended plays. Def Leppard was formed in 1977 by vocalist Joe Elliott, bass player Rick "Sav" Savage, guitarist Pete Willis, and drummer Tony Kenning. They later released the EP The Def Leppard . The band signed with Mercury Records and released their debut full-length album On Through the Night.
Def Leppard is the self-titled eleventh studio album by the British rock band of the same name, released on 30 October 2015. Leppard's first studio album since Songs from the Sparkle Lounge (2008) (marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career) and their first on earMUSIC Records, it became their seventh top ten album after debuting on the Billboard 200 at number 10. The first single "Let's Go" was released 15 September 2015, alongside the artwork and track listing.

Long before the days of TRL, "Photograph" famously knocked Michael Jackson's "Beat It" from the top of MTV as the "Most Requested Music Video. Around the same time, the single Hello America sees the light of day. On April 1, the band sign with Leber-Krebs management company. They are looked after by the American duo Peter Mensch and Cliff Burnstein (later to form their own company, Q-Prime). Def Leppard continue recording their album as a four piece. For the first time in four albums, Mutt Lange does not man the controls: he rather serves as executive producer. Long-time mixer/engineer Mike Shipley sits in as co-producer along with the band.
Yeah! is the ninth studio album by English hard rock Def Leppard. It is the first cover album by the band. It was originally to be released on 20 September 2005, but it was announced on 31 March 2006 that the album would be released on 23 May 2006. The album charted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and No. 52 on the UK Albums Chart. The accompanying booklet contains photographs of the band members recreating classic images from '70s album art.
