Format: CD, Album, Digipak. this albums is quite heavy, in the sense that it packs a lot of emotions in it. i think what makes it so powerful is that it feels like the album was designed to make you look back at sad moments in your life while at the same time, trying to comfort you in some way. i myself am. an unfortunate timer and picked this release some time in my past where things were going so well, but now not so much. its a stark difference from mr. schnuass previous releases.

Ulrich Schnauss has always been one of my chill heroes since i discovered his music and he never really dissapointed me with his productions and remixes. Today i finally got to listen Ulrich´s 3rd album called Goodbye. Sadly i miss in some of these tracks some warmth of melodies i am used to listen at his previous productions. I think i have to get used to this album as its been with 'A Strangely Isolated Place' when i first heard it. It cleary is something i don´t want to have missing in my collection and his music is very uplifting

Far Away Trains Passing By," was such a good collection of songs that I met Schnauss' second album (A Strangely Isolated Place) with huge expectations. Goodbye by Ulrich Schnauss as his third album comes now with more vocals and powerful sounds. From the cover of the album you want to get it, when I saw it I wanted to get it right away. You don't have to argue much with Ulrich because you know the sound is there.

On Ulrich Schnauss' third album Goodbye, he gently fades away from Boards of Canada style breakbeats and deep into a shoegaze slumber that drifts gently into an ethereal realm slightly reminiscent of Enigma, Ultravox, and at its most lush moments, Enya. Yes, Enya, but maybe only if she were to be produced by Kevin Shields.

Ulrich Schnauss was born in the northern German seaport of Kiel in 1977. He became interested in a range of music: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Tangerine Dream, Chapterhouse, and early bleep & breakbeat tracks. There was not much opportunity to see his musical influences in Kiel, so he moved to Berlin in 1996.
