Rewind is the third studio album by the American musician Johnny Rivers, released in 1967 by Imperial Records. The album includes cover versions of "Baby, I Need Your Lovin'" and "The Tracks of My Tears". Produced by Lou Adler with arrangements by Jimmy Webb, who wrote eight of the songs, the album peaked at on the Billboard albums chart.

Johnny Rivers' most spectacular period of music. Just look at the talent involved in "Changes": Hal Blaine, Joe Osborn, Larry Knetchel, Tommy Tedesco, Bud Shank and Gary Coleman, the quality of music is truly unbelieveable. Tommy Tedesco's guitar on "Days of Wine and Roses" is just about the most beautiful thing imagineable, as is Bud Shank's sax on "The Shadow of Your Smile". Just put this on and be taken away to a time where music was creative, courageous, and thoughtful. Rewind also features Rivers the balladeer. There are more original songs this time around, courtesy of songwriter Jimmy Webb. But the two hit song here are not originals, they are cover versions of classic Motown hits ("The Tracks of My Tears" and "Baby I Need Your Lovin'"). Not a bad album, but I tend to prefer Rivers the rocker better. 2 people found this helpful.
