Deus' debut album Worst Case Scenario drew influences from Frank Zappa, Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart and was released on 16 September 1994 to critical acclaim. Their next effort In a Bar, Under the Sea followed two years later. Altogether, the band's first three albums (discounting My Sister My Clock).

Worst Case Scenario is the first album by Belgian alternative rock band Deus released in 1994. The cover art was designed by guitarist Rudy Trouvé.

A Belgian quintet, Deus (pronounced day-us) specializes in alternatively jagged and soothing Beefheartian symphonies packed with alluring riffs, cracked lyrics and atonal jazz rock passages featuring a lead violin. Right as Rain" is the gentlest listening experience, "Via" and ". Zappa and Waits fans will approve.

Worst Case Scenario is a music studio album recording by DEUS (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1994 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. When this debut album from Antwerp-origined group appeared, it took Belgium by storm, as the scene was fairly vacant in the Alternative Rock domain in their homeland. Unless really involved in the underground scene, no one had heard of Rudy Trouv�, Tom Barman, Janzoons, DeBorgher and Stef Carlens and they became an immediate success.
