Thumpers are back with "Boundary Loves" and details of long-awaited second record Whipped & Glazed. This latest squirmy nugget of jitter-pop follows last year's comeback cut "Gargantua", a squelchy riot filled with muscular male angst and veiny bass. But we definitely didn't set out to make an album that did only that. We reached a point where we almost had no choice but to make light of all the self-flagellation after those experiences and turn it into a focal point.

Whipped & Glazed isn’t an all-out departure from Thumpers’ euphoric pop roots, but a matured and darker take on their signature sound.

Whipped & Glazed is the second studio album of indie/alternative pop duo Thumpers (also known as THUMPERS). The group’s first release since 2014, Whipped & Glazed continues the sound shaped on debut album Galore. Thumpers pay great attention to the vocals, and their layering gives the album dimensionality. Like on Galore, the drums also play a significant role on Whipped & Glazed. The album’s second track Gargantua is propelled by the heavy drums; paired the crunchy guitar – that’s distorted to a wider, nearly static-y sound – they give the track a heavier sound.

New album 'Whipped & Glazed' is the result. Out now, it's a dexterous, flexible, ever-evolving return, with Thumpers continually pushing themselves further and further. - World Removed MARCUS: At one point the name of the album, this is a song that we wrote in two parts. The outro vocals date back to the very beginning of Thumpers as a project, when the plan was still to write sad power ballads with loud drums instead of guitar solos. Wolf Ways MARCUS: This was the first full lyric written for the album and set the tone for the record as both way more detailed and cartoon-ish than we had ever let ourselves be before.
