Rollin', released in 1974, was the first full-length album by Scotland's Bay City Rollers. The album included three British chart hits ("Remember", "Shang-a-Lang", "Summerlove Sensation") and the debut of "Saturday Night", never a British hit yet a No. 1 smash in America, later. Like other alt-metal CDs that have looked to Texas and the Deep South for inspiration, Rollin' owes a creative debt to Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Molly Hatchet, and other Southern bands that were popular in the 1970s - and yet, Rollin' will never be mistaken for an album that was actually recorded back then.
