The Blue Hour is the eighth studio album by English alternative rock band Suede. The album was released on 21 September 2018. It was the first Suede album since A New Morning not to be produced by longtime producer Ed Buller, and the first to be produced by Alan Moulder. The concept for The Blue Hour began in May 2016, when lead singer Brett Anderson, guitarist Richard Oakes and keyboardist Neil Codling wrote the song "Mistress"; a song about a boy's realisation of his father's affair.
Remixed by Blue Hour, released 04 November 2015 1. Axis Motive (Answer Code Request Remix) 2. Reference 97 (Marcelus 'Swirl' Mix) 3. Moments (Steffi Remix). UK-born producer Luke Standing aka Blue Hour has made a considerable impact since his emergence in 2013. Bristol to Berlin precipitated a run of stellar self-released EPs that immediately won him an ardent following among techno's most revered DJs for a sound that offered a fresh takes on classic techno and electronica, while always maintaining a supreme dancefloor functionality.
For Blue Hour’s third release, 'Reference 97' follows up on the hugely successful introduction the UK producer made last year with his new self-titled imprint. It collects three raw and powerful 909 driven techno tracks, featuring the atmospherics characteristic of the producer’s sound.
