His songs dealing with the erican experience have been used as references in Asian-American history course studies at various universities.

Watada was born in 1951. He lives in Toronto and teaches at Seneca College. He is well-known in the Japanese-Canadian community for his monthly column in the Nikkei Voice, a national community paper.

I was commissioned to create the art for a recently released CD by Canadian singer/songwriter, Terry Watada. My illustrations are hand-carved linoleum with colour applied in Photoshop. All profits from the sale of the CD will go to support the National Internment Memorial Center in New Denver, British Columbia.
