Devil's Playground is the sixth studio album by English rock vocalist Billy Idol, released on 22 March 2005. It is his first studio album in over a decade (the latest being 1993's Cyberpunk), and his first new studio songs since 2001 (Idol's cover of "Don't You (Forget About Me)" on Greatest Hits). The album also reunited Idol in the studio with guitarist Steve Stevens and producer Keith Forsey. All songs were written or co-written by Idol except "Plastic Jesus"

The Devil's Ground (2009). The Cycle (original title). R 1h 29min Horror, Thriller 19 May 2009 (USA). When they stopped in a gas station, the attendant Billy advised them to avoid the place in Bradford City called "Devil's Playground" by the locals. While digging in an area where a mine collapsed on 19 December 1967 killing 239 coal miners, they find preserved bones that they believe belonged to the Indians.

Billy Mitchell’s influence on the latter-day line-up of the band helped them stay as respected and successful as they had been prior to his recruitment. In the seventies he founded the seminal Jack the Lad, who were both musically deft & wondrous and also, clearly (some say), unhinged. Their final album was ‘Jackpot’.

I have tried over the years to obtain a CD copy, but as it was out of production for many years and copies were rare and selling for many times over the cover price, I never thought that I would hear this again untill unearthing my lost vinyl copy. I remembered it as being good but I was surprised at just how good it sounded

The most remarkable thing about the 12-year wait between Billy Idol's fifth album, Cyberpunk, and his sixth, Devil's Playground, isn't the enormity of the gap between records, it's that almost nobody noticed that he was gone. Such was the magnitude of Cyberpunk's failure - it erased him from popular consciousness, shaming Billy into an ignoble exile where he barely seemed to register outside of a cameo in Adam Sandler's The Wedding Singer.
