Margaret Eleanor Whiting (July 22, 1924 – January 10, 2011) was an American popular music and country music singer who gained popularity in the 1940s and 1950s. Whiting was born in Detroit, but her family moved to Los Angeles in 1929, when she was five years old. Her father, Richard, was a composer of popular songs, including the classics "Hooray for Hollywood", "Ain't We Got Fun?", and "On the Good Ship Lollipop". Her sister, Barbara Whiting, was an actress (Junior Miss, Beware, My Lovely) and singer.

Margaret Whiting - Miscellaneous Album Lyrics. 1. A Tree In The Meadow. 2. A Wonderful Guy. 3. Baby, It's Cold Outside. 16. Sllippin' Around.

With a whopping 113 tracks from who was the best selling female singer of the post war years and is a wonderful follow up to last years highly successful 'Till We Meet Again' with Margaret Whiting and Jimmy Wakely. Also here are all eight tracks from Maggie's first album, which featured the songs of Rodgers and Hart. Some, maybe all, of the recordings I mentioned above as being missing from this set can be found in the box There Goes That Song Again issued as a sequel to this one.
