Death to Tyrants is the eighth album by American band Sick of it All, released on April 18, 2006. On this record, the band introduced a much heavier and stronger sound. This was the first Sick of It All album not released on Fat Wreck Chords (who released their previous three albums) since 1997's Built to Last. All the tracks were written by Sick of It All. Sick Of It All keep things simple on "Death To Tyrants," and stick to the "bare bones" sound - consisting of only simple yet effective and headbanging riffs, ripping guitar leads, pummeling drums, forceful, driving rhythms, screamed vocals, inspired, vitriolic lyrics, and memorable, choruses. Top it all off with a crisp production job, and the final sound is very muscular, hard, heavy, and bludgeoning. The album begins with a sure-to-be-classic.
