Lower Than Atlantis is the fourth studio album by British rock band Lower Than Atlantis. With the release of Changing Tune (2012), the band moved to an arena rock-orientated sound. Following the touring cycle for Changing Tune, Island Records gave the band an ultimatum. The result of which ended with the band taking a label advance and building their own recording studio in Watford in July 2013

Lower Than Atlantis was an English rock band from Watford, Hertfordshire. They formed in 2007 as a hardcore punk band and gradually shifted into a melodic rock sound over five studio albums, their last being 2017's Safe in Sound. The band consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mike Duce, bassist Declan Hart, drummer Eddy Thrower, and lead guitarist Ben Sansom. They announced in December 2018 that they would be disbanding after a final 3 tour dates in 2019.

Lower Than Atlantis have announced their fifth studio album, Safe In Sound, set for a worldwide release on February 3, 2017. The UK alt-rockers have premiered an interactive music video for its first single, Dumb. Last month, the band treated us to another video, that one being Work For It. LTA SAYS: So excited to announce our fifth (mental right?!) album. We've locked ourselves away since the end of the UK tour in December writing and recording it. This is the most involved we've ever been with a record, Ben (Sansom, guitar) has engineered most of it in our LTA studio and Eddy.
