The Mavericks is the sixth studio album by the American country music band The Mavericks. It was their only release for Sanctuary Records, and their first studio album since Trampoline in 1998. The album produced three singles in "I Want to Know", "Would You Believe" and a cover version of "The Air That I Breathe", which was made famous by The Hollies. The latter was the only single to enter the charts, peaking at number 59 on Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs)

It's significant that four of the best songs from this album would be re-recorded for the Mavericks' major-label debut in 1992, and that by that time guitarist Ben Peeler (whose style is solid but more than a bit rote) would be out of the picture, but The Mavericks is hardly an embarrassing place for a band this good to start. their recording career; it's a stylish and enthusiastic album from a band who would get much better with time.

Listen to albums and songs from The Mavericks. On this sophomore album, Malo's songwriting bore more fruit than a field of prickly pear cacti. Songs like the Sir Douglas Quintet-flavored "I Got You" and the roadhouse rocker "End Of The Line" should have climbed the charts, but they were upstaged by a drop-dead gorgeous rendition of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'" (the only single from their second album to get radio airplay). In 1994, the band released What a Crying Shame, a rm album that went platinum and yielded three singles.

Loggins and Messina is the second album by singer/songwriters Loggins and Messina, released in 1972. Following on the success of their first album, this album built on the strengths of their debut outing. It also became the true introduction of the team, Loggins and Messina, not as singles playing together, but rather as a team that played as one. It featured two songs that charted, with "Your Mama Don't Dance" reaching its peak at their highest charting single

The following year, The Mavericks released Super Colossal Smash Hits of the 90s: The Best of The Mavericks. The album charted at number 40 in the UK Albums Chart and it was certified Gold. It also made on the US Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. They released their sixth studio album on September 23rd 2003, which featured a duet with Willie Nelson, called Time Goes By. It made it to on the . Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. I admit it I would be their 1 groupie if I could be. I'm the proud administrator of two Mavericks Groups. I want to say to The Mavericks Happy 25 Years of making Amazing Music. 2014 is your 25 Live Tour and boy The Mavericks have been touring and still are. I can't wait to get my next Maverick fix on 11/5/14 in Portsmouth NH Music Hall.

I was anticipating this album but I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in it. The sound quality of this is no better than a decent bootleg. The Mavericks dynamic live show deserves much better sound. it's an album of live recordings. and it sounds it. very hollow/empty vibe. but it is NOT their best by any means. surely an odd choice of songs no question. I just find it hard to find fault w/ these guys. Is the sound quality perfect?

The band released the live album, ‘All Night Live, Vol. 1’ in October 2016, and a Christmas album in 2018. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard. Set Your Currency, Country.

The Mavericks is the first album by the American country music band The Mavericks. It was released in 1990 on the Miami, Florida-based Cross Three label. Written entirely by the lead singer, Raul Malo, it is their only album with the guitarist Ben Peeler. This Broken Heart", the only official single from this album, failed to chart. I Don't Care If You Love Me Anymore" was later released on the soundtrack to the 1996 film Michael, and was a low-charting country single that year.
