Carmen is the singer on most of the other tracks - fortunately, as she's considerably better than the rather mediocre Domingo Alvarado, who never the less performs adequately on the final one. I know of no album that's conveys the tripartite essence of Flamenco better than this. A landmark recording. Sabas's brother Diego plays 2nd guitar on track 6. CONTENTS.

Carmen Amaya (2 November 1918 – 19 November 1963) was a Spanish Romani flamenco dancer and singer, born in the Somorrostro district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. She has been called "the greatest Spanish Romani dancer of her generation" and "the most extraordinary personality of all time in flamenco dance. She was the first female flamenco dancer to master footwork previously reserved for the best male dancers, due to its speed and intensity

Flamenco song and dance, some selections feature Sabicas as accompanist.

Sabicas (Agustín Castellón Campos) was a flamenco guitarist, of Romani origin, who was born on 16 March 1912 in Pamplona, Spain and died on 14 April 1990 in New York City, New York. Sabicas began playing guitar at the age of four and made his performing debut two years later. His early style was influenced by Ramón Montoya, to whom he was related on his mother's side of the family. Leaving Spain in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War, he went into exile in South America with bailaora (dancer) Carmen Amaya. He lived in Mexico City, married Esperanza González Erazo and had four children: Maricruz 1944, Carlos 1946, Agustine 1952 and Margaret 1956. Agustine and Margaret live in New York City, Maricruz lives in Alaska, and Carlos is deceased. Carmen and Sabicas toured together several times. Sabicas later settled in New York City in the United States.
