Greatest Hits is the second compilation album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was released on November 18, 2003 by Warner Bros. Aside from their cover of "Higher Ground", all songs on the compilation are from their tenure on Warner Bros. Records from 1991 to 2002, in addition to two newly recorded songs. Greatest Hits was released along with a separately sold DVD containing most of their music videos from the same time period.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Greatest Hits album was released in 2003, featuring most, but not all, of their Warner Records singles since Blood Sugar Sex Magic (1991), along with two new songs, and one track from the EMI days, the Stevie Wonder cover Higher Ground. The last one is the only track not produced by Rick Rubin, a longtime friend and producer of Chili Pepper albums. Some of the absences in the CD are featured in the DVD version with the music videos from the period

Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in Los Angeles by singer Anthony Kiedis, guitarist Hillel Slovak, bassist Flea, and drummer Jack Irons, all of whom were classmates from Fairfax High School.
