Travelogue is a 2002 double album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell featuring orchestral re-recordings of songs from throughout her career. It is her 18th studio album and is the follow-up to 2000's Both Sides Now which had a similar format. Upon release Mitchell announced that it would be her last album, but later revealed work on a new studio album.

The Concerto for Group and Orchestra is a concerto composed by Jon Lord, with lyrics written by Ian Gillan. It was first performed by Deep Purple and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold on 24 September 1969 and released on vinyl in December 1969. After the score was lost in 1970, it was performed again in 1999 with a recreated score.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra is one of the two full-time professional radio orchestras in Ireland that are part of RTÉ, the national broadcasting station. Since its formation as the Radio Éireann Light Orchestra in 1948, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, has grown from a small studio-based recording group to become an active 45-strong orchestra performing over eighty concerts annually. It is part of RTÉ Performing Groups.

I think a full orchestra can achieve greater musical depth than winds alone. Besides, I hate saxophones. P I do NOT hate saxophonists. I've played flute and now bassoon in concert band settings, and I have to say that bands are probably one of the funnest, intellectual-ish experiences you can get out there. Because of the way the music is written, there are sections that play together, or play as counter-lines to each other, and often you can find sections trying to outdo each other - which often ends in hilarity.

A sort of musical travelogue, comprising three works with strong national associations, was presented Friday night by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. To be repeated Saturday and Sunday, it was the final classical program of the orchestra's 2018-2019 season, and the last program of Miguel Harth-Bedoya's 19th and penultimate season as music director. Expert playing was a reminder of how transformational a leader Harth-Bedoya has been. The musical journey began in what used to be northern Hungary, now Slovakia.

Their latest album "Alium" is a continuation of this high standard of output. Expect to see the same level of attention to detail in their shows. Deep guttural bass-soaked musical richness. Given the fact that every song was followed by rapturous applause from the audience, it's hard not to be able to appreciate just how good SO are. They perform a modest set, and the way they behave on stage almost undersells them. There is no pretentiousness or arrogance, no gimmicks, just rich, diverse music carried off beautifully.
