Entre-Deux-Mers is a wine region in Bordeaux, in France. At 3,000 hectares (7,400 acres), it is the largest sub-region of Bordeaux, although, as there are large areas of forest, relatively little of it is used for growing grapes.

Entre-Deux-Mers translates to between two seas but it’s a misleading name. This large triangle of comely land east of Bordeaux actually lies between the Dordogne and Garonne river tributaries of the Garonne estuary-hardly two seas. Unfortunately, Entre-Deux-Mers is still a bit of an if only winegrowing region-as in: if only the wines were as appealing as the bucolic rolling hills of the countryside they come from.

Entre-deux-Mers is a large wine sub-region of Bordeaux in southwestern France. Its name translates literally as "between two seas", although the seas in question are in fact rivers – the Garonne and Dordogne, which respectively form the area's southern and northern boundaries.
