Frontiers is the eighth studio album by the American rock band Journey, released in February 1983 on the Columbia Records label. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and would garner four top 40 singles: "After the Fall" (No. 23), "Send Her My Love" (No. 23), "Faithfully" (No. 12), and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (No. 8), and a rock radio hit in "Chain Reaction".

In the summer of 1998, Sony repackaged and re-released Journey's most popular albums - Escape, Frontiers, and Infinity - as a slipcased box set. Since this box features the remastered versions from 1996, it's a good bargain in one sense: if you haven't replaced your old CDs or want to acquire all of these albums at once, this is a convenient way to do it.

Journey played a wildly successful tour with Def Leppard last year that packed arenas all over North America and even a handful of stadiums. They haven’t played together since a one-off show in Reno, Nevada on December 16th and say they are taking most of 2019 off, though they may play a few shows near the end of the year.
