Tellef Ogrim is a Norwegian improvising guitarist, producer, and composer. His current projects are a duo with Swedish bassist Anders Berg, Mugetuft with Peter Knudsen, Henrik Hellstenius and Jakop Janssønn, The Leif with Magnus Tenge, and the rock band Ung Pike Forsvunnet. As a writer Tellef Ogrim also contributes to services such as Ballade. Uuskyla Øgrim & Berg plays at the opening day of DOM Cultural Centre festival in Moscow May. 19. Oslo's Kafé Hærverk launch vinyl label. A live recording of Uuskyla Øgrim & Berg with Harri Sjöström will be the label's third release. The album starts off with Chase, which has some interesting atmospherics and a kill switch on the main desk by the sound of it. Second track Gavotte is a journey into string bashing that you have to hear. Third track Far from Hospitality explores some interesting territory with some curious bass sounds, dropping into a minimalist maze reminiscent of some of Tellef’s earlier work, Anders bass work works well though and there is some starting fretless work towards the end of the track (think of a fight between a duck and a bee).
