Where Did Our Love Go is the second studio album by Motown singing group The Supremes, released in 1964. The album includes several of the group's singles and B-sides from 1963 and 1964. Included are the group's first Billboard Pop Singles number-one hits, "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", and "Come See About Me", as well as their first Top 40 hit, "When the Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes", and the singles "A Breathtaking Guy" and "Run, Run, Run".

The Supremes thought "Where Did Our Love Go" was childish, and after recording it they didn't like the way it turned out, little knowing it was going to be their first big hit. The Motown studios, known as "Hitsville USA," had high ceilings and mahogany wood floors which enhanced the echoes, foot stomps and finger snaps that were part of many of the tunes recorded there Also on the same bill were Marvin Gaye, the Ronettes, Millie Small, and the Miracles. Fiona's highly-anticipated third album almost didn't make it. Here's how it finally came together after two years and a leak.

Ooh baby love, my baby love I need you, oh how I need you But all you do is treat me bad Break my heart and leave me sad Tell me, what did I do wrong To make you stay away so long. Cause baby love, my baby love Been missing ya, miss kissing ya Instead of breaking up Let's do some kissing and making up Don't throw our love away In my arms, why don't you stay? Need ya, need ya Baby love, ooh, baby love. Baby Love is a 1964 song recorded by American music group the Supremes for their second studio album, Where Did Our Love Go, and was written and produced by Motown’s main production team Holland–Dozier–Holland. What have the artists said about the song? Songwriter/producer Lamont Dozier wrote this about the genesis of this song

The songs on the album "Where Did Our Love Go" and the "Temptations Sing Smokey", not only included the hits and the soon to be released singles, but also included original material that would never be released as singles. Although concept albums are associated with classic rock, the vinyl 33 rpm albums, "Where Did Our Love Go" and "The Temptations Sing Smokey", were the first long playing (LP) albums in popular music to be an event unto themselves. Previously, the '50's, and '60's albums by popular artists who made hits via singles were compilations of '45 hits and quickly forgotten standards of the time.

Ooh, baby Baby, baby, where did our love go? And all your promises of a love forevermore! I've got this burning, burning, yearning feelin' inside me Ooh, deep inside me, and it hurts so bad Before you won my heart (baby, baby) You were a perfect guy But now that you got me You wanna leave me behind (baby, baby) Ooh, baby Baby, baby, baby don't leave me Ooh, please don't leave me all by myself (baby .
