Goo Goo Dolls is an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, by guitarist/vocalist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. Mike Malinin was the band's drummer from December 1994 until December 27, 2013 (but not made an official member until 1998). The band are renowned for their commercially successful 1998 singles "Iris" and "Slide".

Goo Goo Dolls (also known as First Release) is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Goo Goo Dolls, released on June 9, 1987 by Mercenary and Celluloid Records. All of the songs were sung by bassist Robby Takac, who was originally the band's lead vocalist.

They are most famous for the hit "Iris", featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 film City of Angels.

The Goo Goo Dolls are a rock band that formed in 1987 in Buffalo, New York by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac. As of 2009, the band has sold more than 9 million records in the US alone. The Goo Goo Dolls initially consisted of John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar), Robby Takac (vocals, bass guitar) and George Tutuska (drums, percussion). While Takac and Tutuska had been long-time friends in school, Rzeznik was playing in the band The Beaumonts, with Takac’s cousin.

An interesting fact is that Magnetic here is etched with BG initials in the runout and the 2013 edition is etched with CB initials, usually refering to Bernie Grundman and Chris Bellman respectively.

Is anyone here able to comment on how this sounds?

mostly dead quiet wax, very in line with most of the recent releases with some of the remasters being handled by Chris Bellman and others by Bernie Grundman, if you don't like how those sound (probably slightly hot) then u might not like the contents here. I fancy them alright, do think it's worth specially if you find a copy lower than what the retail was (i think retail was like 89.99 or close to that), if it had 'a boy named goo' instead of magnetic or instead of 'something for the rest of us' it woulda had the best goo goo dolls ever put out imho.
