Shawn Pittman - Full Circle flac album

Full Circle Austin's once-vibrant blues scene is now a tough row for the up-and-comers to hoe thanks to it having once been such fertile ground. Shawn Pittman isn't afraid of the past or the present, and his new CD Full Circle melds the two very neatly. It's a promising start too, with his own composition, "New King in Town," proclaiming his arrival. Bad choice, however, following it with a song associated locally with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and then a Bobby Blue Bland cover.

Shawn Pittman – Full Circle. 24. I enjoyed Shawn’s last record, with its killer mix of rock and roll and blues. This new release takes things a step further, and really satisfies. Shawn spent time playing with Buddy Guy a while back, and that intensity shows on his own stuff. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s backed on a good part of this record by the Double Trouble rhythm section. As usual, Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon lay down an irresistible groove.

Austin's Shawn Pittman maintains a high profile in Minnesota. On this summer night, Pittman, delayed following an afternoon appearance at Wisconsin's Prairie du Chien Blues Festival, had yet to roll into the Poodle Club, a bar and grill straight out of the 1950s. When the appointed start time came and went, the sizable crowd, a mix of blues fans and neighborhood regulars, remained upbeat with a break in the summer heat and the promise of good music; Minnesota loves Shawn Pittman. An unstoppable shuffle beat ran through the Eddy Taylor-ish title track of Pitman's just-released third album, Full Circle. During "Wait On Time," the Fabulous Thunderbirds' masterpiece, Pittman nailed a Jimmie Vaughan vibe-no surprise, as both guitarists concentrate on maintaining rhythm 'n' groove and reducing solos to only the most cutting notes.

Full Circle is the sixth album by R&B group Boyz II Men and their only release on Arista Records. Featuring the singles "The Color of Love", written by Babyface and "Relax Your Mind" featuring Faith Evans, Full Circle was the last Boyz II Men album to include bass singer Michael McCary. Three years later, singer Raheem DeVaughn would sample the track "Right on Time" on his song "Ask Yourself" from his 2005 debut The Love Experience. The Color of Love" was released as the first single on June 11, 2002.

Jonathan Doyle represents the album's only other personnel by contributing tenor & baritone saxophone on 4 songs.
