Girls in Airports: Fables by Ian Patterson, published on October 22, 2015. Fables is perhaps Girls In Airports' most satisfying release to date. Weighing in at just thirty eight minutes, the Danish group makes a very persuasive case that less is more. Moody and seductive, this sublime music works its charms from first note to last. Track Listing: Fables; Sea Trail; Randall's Island; Mammatus; Aftentur; Aeiki; Dovetail; Yola; Episodes. Personnel: Martin Stender: saxophone; Lars Greve: saxophones, clarinets; Mathias Holm: keyboards; Victor Dybbroe: percussion; Mads Forsby: drums.

Fables, the fourth album from acclaimed Danish jazz group Girls In Airports, is at least partly influenced by great bass player Charlie Mingus; in fact Mingus was an early working title. These songs are founded on stories that resonate in a deeply and emotional way, inspired by locality: the collective experience of living in Copenhagen, the musicians’ lives, stories of touring and hours spent on the tour bus.

Artist: Girls in Airports. This Danish five-piece are part of that new generation of European jazz groups who are born in the rehearsal room and grow a band sound from the ground up. For Girls in Airports, the result has been the gradual evolution of a unique, cinematic sound, a rough-hewn Danish vessel that holds a diversity of influences, from North African folk to ambient noise.

GIRLS IN AIRPORTS is a nu jazz music artist. The band is made up of five male musicians, who mix indie-soul, afrobeat and Indian raga with cool Scandinavian tones. Fables - Girls In Airports CD 2QVG The Fast Free Shipping.
