All That Remains announced plans to start recording another album, which began in April 2010. The band later confirmed the album would be released later in the year with Adam Dutkiewicz as the chosen producer. The album was released on October 12, 2010. In late September 2010, All That Remains announced "The Napalm & Noise Tour," which took place from November. On June 8, 2010, All That Remains premiered the title track "For We Are Many" during a show in Burlington, Vermont, under the working title of "Dem Trims.

Released on October 12, 2010 Background For We Are Many is the first All That Remains album to contain the same line-up as the preceeding album. On August 18, 2010, the band released the title track, "For We Are Many" for free download. On September 2, 2010, the band released the first single to go to rock radio, "Hold On" on their official YouTube channel.

All That Remains; A name that has basically become synonymous with Metalcore. They’ve created The Fall of Ideals, one of the most acclaimed albums in the genre. I guess what goes up, must come down. After The Fall of Ideals, they released Overcome, which in my opinion was a huge disappointment. It had its high spots, but the bad outweighed the good. Their most recent effort, For We Are Many, is a combination of both of these albums. It’s what makes For We Are Many their catchiest album yet. Personally, I love a song that I can sing along to, and this album is full of catchy vocal melodies. There are also much more prominent Melodic Death Metal influences that their last two releases. That means catchy vocals AND riffs! Sign me the f ck up! Alongside all the evolution the band has undergone, at their core, they’re still All That Remains.
