Rockoon is the forty-fourth album released by Tangerine Dream. The album was started in March 1991 and completed January 1992, making it the longest production ever in the band's history until the release of Quantum Gate in 2017. The album was nominated in the USA for the "Best New Age Album 1992" Grammy and reached the Top Ten in Billboard New Age charts and the Top Twenty in Billboard Jazz charts. It is the first full album of Tangerine Dream music as a father and son duo.

Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess said he expected the band to start serious work on their 14th album in May next year. Rather than a free-form improvisation drone and noise fest, it features Boris running through their own set with the mighty noise master (here known as Merzbow One Man) as an additional member of Boris, transforming the power trio into a quartet.

Ricochet (Tangerine Dream album). Ricochet is the first live album and seventh album overall by German electronic music group Tangerine Dream, released in 1975. It consists of two side-long compositions mixed from recordings of the UK and France portions of their August–October 1975 European Tour.

The term dream rock is associated with the musical style that mixes the atmospheric layers used by dream pop bands, the textures and moods of shoegaze and the powerful, distorted sound of early alternative rock.
