Micky & the Motorcars is an American alternative Texas Country band formed in Challis, Idaho before moving to Austin, Texas. With their own band of Americana rock, the band brings an optimism and integrity only acquired when its been performing so long the only thing left to tell is the truth.

Micky & the Motorcars is an alternative country band formed in Stanley, Idaho that is now based in Austin, Texas. Formed in Idaho originally, the band has its roots from two of the founding members, Mickey and Gary Braun, are the sons of outlaw country and western swing musical icon Muzzie Braun of Stanley, Idaho and are the brothers of Cody Braun and Willy Braun of the Texas based roots rock band Reckless Kelly.

Micky & the Motorcars signed to Smith in 2007, releasing Careless that year. The next year, Naive became their first album to chart on Billboard, and it also featured guitarist Kris Farrow, who stayed with the band through 2011; he was replaced by Dustin Schaefer. That year, the group put out Raise My Glass, which debuted at 36 on Billboard's country chart. McCoy left the band after its release - his replacement was Joe Fladger - and tragically died in a rafting accident in April 2012. Live at Billy Bob's Texas.
