Charmer is the fourth full-length by American indie rock band Tigers Jaw. It was released on June 3, 2014, on Run For Cover Records. Former members Adam McIlwee, Dennis Mishko and Pat Brier were included in the recording of the album despite no longer being a part of the band. In October and November 2015, the group supported New Found Glory and Yellowcard on their co-headlining US tour. All songs written by Tigers Jaw.

For their third album, the Scranton, P. based Tigers Jaw headed to Studio 4 in Conshohocken, P. with producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive) to loosen up their sound and see where they stood after three of the original five members left the group and forced the cancellation of a European tour. Guitarist/vocalist Ben Walsh and Brianna Collins decided to stick it out, and their bright harmonies give a track like Hum a cheery pop sound that’s further guided by the tight interplay of drums-organ-guitar in the best indie rock tradition.

Retrieved March 1, 2016. Members of Basement filled in for members of Tigers Jaw during their 2013 UK tour. Tigers Jaw announced their newest studio album, Charmer, on March 21,2014 along with the single Nervous Kids, Charmer reached on the Billboard Charts. They played a U. S. tour with Touché Amoré and they went on a U. tour with Lemuria and Somos in Spring 2015. In May 2015, it was announced that Tigers Jaw would be touring the U. with New Found Glory, in June 2015, the band played in Brazil and performed three acoustic shows in New York and Somerville.

Lead vocalist Adam McIlwee is definitely the spearhead for the album success. McIlwee’s effectively somber and almost lazy drawl coincide with the (mostly)open-stringed guitar instrumentals. Title track Charmer is direct representative of this style, and is without a doubt one of the albums standout tracks. With a very foreboding bass-line intro that evolves into a flurry of guitar strings behind McIlwee’s self-deprecating and insecure lyrics find him pleading, saying Definitely feeling unnecessary pain/ say that there’s no consequence/ then you walk away.
