Monolake - Gravity flac album

Gravity ‎(8xFile, ALAC, Album, RE). Monolake, Imbalance Computer Music. Truly a stunning album - superb low end bass and intelligent subtle melodies. Reminds me of 'Amber'-era Autechre - glacial and beautiful stuff and not 'difficult' on first listen. I've heard that these guys write all their own programmes for producing music - whatever it is, it sounds brilliant. A good place to start for anyone interested in Basic Channel stuff - also check out the Scion album (on tresor)who remix and mix Basic Channel stuff. Its techno Jim, but not as we know it.

Shop Vinyl and CDs and complete your Monolake collection. Could this get a remaster, repress? A 24/96 version would be even more amazing. I can think of a ton of friends who are unfamiliar with the album that would get a lot of out of it, Reply Notify me 5 Helpful.

The crackling electrical storm on "Static" makes it a highlight as well, and Gravity shows Monolake making steady progression beyond the sound they helped trademark without ever deserting it completely.
