After the unrelenting shag anthems of their debut ‘Fantastic Playroom’ and the petulant, purposefully un-catchy attempt at proving they weren’t a one trick (ahem) pony that was second album ‘The Optimist’, ‘NYPC’ offers a fusion of the two. It's groove-driven and infectious, yet finds the project in a more mature and experimental mode.
