Probably Tonka's finest hour (along with his wonderfully slick Hipgrinders remix) and my fave version of this song – yeah, even above the original. The M1 piano/strings combo is truly magical here. Great use of Dominica's vocals which only adds to the euphoric, impassioned vibe of the whole record. Anyway, this sounds way more like a '95 than a '00 tune.

In early 2015 a UK group/DJ set up called 'BICEP' made an edit of Dominicas' 'Gotta Let You Go' for their own sets with no intention of releasing it. It became a massive track and created great hype amongst the dance community. This '2015 Edit' released on Altra Moda is just a very close copy (done by someone else) of BICEP'S earlier edit released purely to satisfy renewed public demand for the track thanks to BICEP. Why Altra Moda could not have contacted the BICEP boys and got them to do the official 'Edit' for them, maybe we'll never know. What we do know is Altra Moda became very petty and had BICEP's version blocked from Soundcloud, Youtube and other sites, siting 'copyright grounds'. One of the great dance tracks of 2015.

Hey Dude,Thanks for letting me know there was an official edit for this! I believed that only the BICEP edit was the only one (which is still on youtube) - after searching Altra Moda I found the other version, which as you say is literally the exact same tune bar some tiny differences but to the normal listener, is exactly the same. There obvious been some underlying issue which we the public don't know about between Altra Moda and BICEP but either way, glad to finally have a copy!

Can anyone confirm whether or not Armin Van buuren as done the remixes on this? Juno says he done the 'nightshift' remixes but there is no proof to either of them.

Juno must have made a mistake/typo. Adrian & Raz did the 'Nightshift' remixes back then. They since went on to start their own successful trance label which still releases today. Armin only did the 'Watch Your Step Mix'.

The original Club Mix from 1994 is of course the only real reason to go for this re-release. A happy house classic with an uplifting melody and nicely sung vocals about how Dominica is leaving a partner who is only holding her down. The track is great enough by itself and really didn't need any new remixes, which is why you can skip straight past Loveland's and Daniel Klein's uninspired versions. The DJ Misjah mix deserves note though. It is nothing special compared to his other work, but the addition of one of Misjah's trademark 303 attacks surely gives the song an interesting new direction.
