Crows - Better Off Dead flac album

Better Off Dead is the fourth studio album by German thrash metal band Sodom, released on October 1, 1990 by Steamhammer/SPV. The song "The Saw Is the Law" in an altered version that was released on the EP The Saw Is the Law. All music composed by Chris Witchhunter, Michael Hoffman and Tom Angelripper, except where noted. Resurrection" is dedicated to Angelripper's late father. The spoken passages at the beginning of "An Eye For An Eye" is taken from the 1989 film The Punisher, starring Dolph Lundgren.

On ‘Better off Dead’, we get more of the same from Crows in an altogether more straightforward manner but with twice as much hate and vinegar. As far as grievances go, there are few to air (the album airs enough for everybody, ever) save for the occasional, unavoidable hardcore trope. A pick-slide here, a breakdown there. All in all, if you have yet to discover the delights of Dublin hardcore, Crows have produced here a fitting introduction and a solid album in and of itself.

Crows are a dark-tinged hardcore band rising out of Dublin. To date, there hasn’t been a lot heard from them, bar the release of Severence in 2011 and the split seven-inch with fellow Irishmen, Drainland

Better Off Dead is the second collaborative album by Josh A and Jake Hill. It is the first to be released under their names, rather than their alter egos. The album features 7 original tracks, and 4 bonus singles included. Although some of the tracks diverge some, most of the songs on this album are fast paced and feature lyrics related to a broken mental state. The album was released on Apple Music and Tidal early, October 20th, and then was fully released everywhere else on October 22nd

Better Off Dead isn't nearly as heavy as Agent Orange or Tapping the Vein, but it definitely holds its own. Tracks like Shellfire Defense and Blood Trails are fast, heavy and furious thrashers. The two covers, particularly Thin Lizzy' s Cold Sweat, are seamless and definitely not filler. Update After a few years of owning this album there are other aspects of the album I would like to address.

Crows from Dublin, Ireland brings you the most danceable record ever released on this label so far and probably for the future. As far as you couldn't already hear on their demo and/or split 7"with Drainland these guys only make hitsingles. And now on a 12". Ten songs of anger, power, mosh, breakdowns, singalongs and it all sounds just great. I keep listening to this and making moves around the room and you'll be as well putting this on. Somewhere between early Undertow and that one good Trash Talk lp.
