Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson was born 11th april 1945. His father, Vilhjálmur Hinrik Ívarsson was a well known musician in Iceland and his sister Eldey (better known as Elly) became famous to Icelandic people long before Vilhjálmur's debut. Vilhjálmur's musical talent showed at a very young age but he never intended to be a professional musician. He studied both law and medicine while he provided for his family and education with music.

Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson (singer). Vilhjálmur Hólmar Vilhjálmsson (April 11, 1945 - March 28, 1978) often called Villi Vill was an Icelandic musician and singer. Often called Villi Vill, Vilhjálmur was the brother of the popular Icelandic singer Henný Eldey Vilhjálmsdóttir, better known by her stage name Elly Vilhjálms Contents. Vilhjálmur and his sister Elly recorded an album together in 1969 Vilhjálmur and Elly decided in consultation with Svavar Gestsson to make 2 more records as a follow-up to their first record together.
