Van Morrison's official audio for 'Brown Eyed Girl'. Down in the hollow Playing a new game, Laughing and a-running, hey, hey, Skipping and a-jumping In the misty morning fog with Our, our hearts a-thumping And you, my brown-eyed girl, You, my brown-eyed girl. Whatever happened To Tuesday and so slow Going down to the old mine with a Transistor radio.

Blowin' Your Mind! is the debut album by Northern Irish musician Van Morrison, released in 1967. It was recorded 28–29 March 1967 and contained his first solo pop hit "Brown Eyed Girl". It was included by Rolling Stone as one of the 40 Essential Albums of 1967. Morrison does not regard this record as a true album, as Bert Berns compiled and released it without his consent.

Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison appears on his first solo studio album, Blowin' Your Mind (1967). The song was originally titled Brown Skinned Girl, but the record label, Bang Records, insisted Morrison change the title and the wording. Morrison explained, After we’d recorded it, I looked at the tape box and didn’t even notice that I’d changed the title. I looked at the box where I’d lain it down with my guitar and it said ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ on the tape box. It’s just one of those things that happen. Because of the contract he signed with Bang Records (without legal advice), Morrison never received any royalties for writing or recording this song. The contract made him liable for all recording expenses incurred for all his Bang Records recordings before any royalties would be paid.

Brown Eyed Girl" is a song by Northern Irish singer and songwriter Van Morrison. Written by Morrison and recorded in March 1967 for Bang Records owner and producer Bert Berns, it was released as a single in June 1967 on the Bang label, peaking at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. It featured the Sweet Inspirations singing back-up vocals and is considered to be Van Morrison's signature song.
