1977 is the first official album by Ash, released in May 1996 in the United Kingdom and the following month in the US. The album proved popular in the UK and Ireland, and to a lesser degree elsewhere, where Britpop was a smaller cult phenomenon. It is ranked at 417 on the NME poll of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

At 56 years of age, suprises of any sort are harder and harder to come by. I've almost given up looking for suprises in music, both due to the dearth of radio and the fact that my collection is now so large there will be many albums and CDs I own that I'll never again listen to before I die. In other words, as my wife reminds me, "do you really need more music to listen to?" . I've loved good R&B and soul for many years now, but never considered myself a big fan of funk. I don't think that box is going to change that, but it has exposed me to a whole musical world that I've obviously overlooked up until this time. The selections are so good, so musically compelling, and so NEW to me, it is very refreshing. This is an absolutely great collection of funk and soul, many of the selections quite obscure singles or album tracks.

CSN is the fifth album by Crosby, Stills & Nash, released on Atlantic Records in 1977. It is the group's third studio release, and their first since their debut album without Neil Young.
