Dirty Money is the fourth studio album by American hip hop duo UGK. It was released on November 13, 2001, by Jive Records. The album came after a five-year hiatus, however, they had been planning on releasing this album since 1998, and ads for it appeared in some of the late 1998's Jive albums. Five years passed between 1996's Ridin' Dirty and 2001's Dirty Money, and in rap, that is an eternity. It was originally intended to be titled Apart, with each of the two core members, Sascha Konietzko and En Esch, recording half an album and combining their work. The album ended up using only Konietzko's half, along with additional songs. It went out of print in the late 1990s and was re-released in 2006.
