The Help Album is a 1995 charity album to raise funds for the War Child charity, which provided aid war-stricken areas, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. All the songs were recorded in a single day. The album features British and Irish artists including Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur and the Manic Street Preachers. It was followed by 1 Love (2002), Hope (2003), Help!: A Day in the Life (2005) and War Child Presents Heroes (2009).

For some decades Martinho DaVila has been firmly established in the pure samba do morro (samba of the hills) style. This album's concept is expressed in its title, Lusofonia, that is, to cover the music of Afro cultures which were influenced by Portuguese colonization. With the usual set of some of the best musicians of Brazil, Martinho also invited for this careful production some of the best proponents of Angola (Don Kikas), Guiné-Bissau (Tabanka Djaz), Mozambique (Astra Harris), Cabo Verde (Celina Pereira), and East Timor (Luís Represas)

With the participation of Caetano Veloso, Cesária Évora, Lura, Sara Tavares, Gilles Peterson, Carlos do Carmo, Buraka Som Sistema or Sam the Kid, "Lusophony, the (R)evolution" is a view on identity, rhythms, melodies and dances. This is a documentary on the music which connects some 220 million people in Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe. Setting out from the cultural miscegenation between peoples from the 15th century onwards, it explores the way in which lusophone culture has inspired musicians in genres such as Hip Hop, Fado, Reggae, Jazz, Semba, Tropicália, Kuduro or Morna. This is a unique portrayal of the essence and the magic of Lusophony.
