Released on September 10, 1975, the double-disc set contains live versions of selected tracks from their first three studio albums, Kiss, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill. It was recorded at concerts in Detroit, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; Wildwood, New Jersey; and Davenport, Iowa on May 16, June 21, July 20 and July 23, 1975.

Kiss Alive 35 is a series of 2 CD live albums, each containing a recording of the complete set from a European show on the KISS Alive/35 World Tour from 2008. A second set of recordings from the North American leg of this tour were released in 2009. The discs are recorded and distributed through Concert Live. There is a limited run of 1500 CDs for each recorded show. The set lists differ slightly between shows, but they are mostly made up of tracks from their 1975 live album, Alive!.

Alive! is the first live album, and fourth overall, by American hard rock band Kiss. Overdubbing controversy. There has been considerable debate as to how much use was made of studio overdubs. In his autobiography Kiss and Make-Up, Simmons stated that very little corrective work was done in the studio and that most of the studio time was devoted strictly to mixing down the multi-track recordings. This is the first album cover to feature Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer in Kiss make up. All of the Alive 35 albums are now out of print. Some of the compilations are sold out as well. A second North American leg of the tour was planned for Fall/Winter 2009.

It was their first Top Ten album, remaining on the charts for 110 weeks. Culled from shows in Detroit, New Jersey, Iowa, and Cleveland on the Dressed to Kill tour, the record features producer Eddie Kramer doing a masterful job of capturing the band's live performance on record. The band's youthful energy is contagious, and with positively electric versions of their best early material, it's no mystery why Alive! is widely regarded as one of the greatest live hard rock recordings of all time.

Released September 10, 1975. One of the most beloved and influential live albums of all time, Alive! was KISS’s breakthrough LP, catapulting them from obscurity to massive success. Long famous for their live shows, which featured blood spitting, fire breathing, guitar smoking (and smashing), and drums elevating, KISS were in dire straits in 1975, having produced three lackluster records for the nearly bankrupt Casablanca Records. This last ditch attempt at fame and fortune paid off massively.
