The Dutch conductor and organist, Piet Kiel, got his training at the Amsterdams Conservatorium with organ as main profession. Among his teacher were Jacob Bijster en Dr. Anton van der Horst. He graduated in 1959. Thereafter he continued his musical training with Jaap Spaanderman studying choir and orchestra conducting. Piet Kiel began his musical career as an organist in Driebergen. He gave regularly concerts in his hompland and abroad. Furthermore he acted as an organist with the former NCRV-Vocaal Ensemble and with the Groot Omroepkoor.
