Delete Google Album Archive. 0 Recommended Answers. I am having difficult time deleting photo albums in Google Album. A section was created in there by Google called Auto Backup. When I go inside the section there are random dates with pictures in them. When I go inside any of the dates there are 3 dots in the corner to bring down the menu that gives me the option to "manage in google photos". In this page I am in Google Photos with another 3 dots in the corner with an option this time to delete the album. I select delete and I get a popup confirming my request.

In photos for Mac the photos source is not a factor in deleting - you delete photos by selecting them and pressing command and delete then going to the recently deleted album and deleting them (or waiting 30 days for them to be automatically deleted).
