RA Scion unwittingly stole the show at Chop Suey with his performance of Connect For. Blue Scholars’ DJ Sabzi laid the beat and before they knew what hit them, the crowd began singing along to a track many had never heard before. The album boasts a diverse lineup that includes the commanding DJ Premier, Royce da 5’9, Masta Killa, Kardinal Offishall, Lady Blue and slept on mixtape king PF Cuttin’. Don't forget to cop "Apostrophe the EP".

Solo hip hop artist - formerly of Common Market and Victor Shade fame.

Ryan Abeo better known by his stage name RA Scion, is an American alternative hip hop artist from Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently based in Seattle, Washington. Abeo was a member of the hip hop group Common Market along with DJ/Producer Sabzi. Abeo, with his wife, manages the independent record label SCIONtific Records. Ryan Abeo was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky in 1974.

Common Market was a hip hop duo based in Seattle, Washington and active from 2005 through 2009. Both members, RA Scion and Sabzi, had been active hip hop artists in the Pacific Northwest for three years before they combined their talents in 2005 to form Common Market. Together they released two albums and two EPs. Sabzi started his career as DJ and producer in another hip hop duo, Blue Scholars.

RA Scion was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Ryan Abeo (RA Scion) was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1974 and briefly attended Northern Kentucky University before moving on to start a family. He has lived all over the globe, calling home to such places as Zambia and Greece before settling with his family in the Pacific Northwest.

RA Scion spits in the Tradition of the conscious Hiphop movement. a true soldier for the preservation of Hiphop Kulture. Common Market is an album that I think everyone should hear at least once. I'd never heard of Ra Scion before, but I'll be checking for him from now on. The sound of the album is unique, yet totally familiar.
