Epic45's Reckless Engineers is their first full-length album. Given a longer duration, their post-rock acquires a stronger cinematic feel, and it works well. The lineup for this album consists of Ben Holton, Roger Glover (guitar and keyboards), Mark Oldfield (drums), Scott Massey (keyboards), and Matt Kelly (guitar), plus the Joseph Pilato Quartet adding strings and piano on a couple of cuts. Reckless Engineers, issued on a great little indie label in Canada called Where Are My Records, proves to be a shining moment for the band. Exceptional at articulating the exact emotion and feeling without uttering a word, the band experiments from song to song with various elements such as drones, highly intricate electronics, and soft and repetitive piano, in addition to your standard guitar, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard arrangements. The engineers of this pristine music are anything but restless; the ideas presented on this album are clear-crafted and quite lucid to the listener. There is a point where technical innovation in building meets the metaphysical forces that surround us, at the center of this axis lays Epic45.

Reckless is the fourth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. Released on 5 November 1984 by A&M Records, the album was co-produced by Adams and Bob Clearmountain, and it was arguably Adams' most successful solo album. The album was a huge international hit, selling over 5 million copies in the United States for a total of 12 million worldwide. It was the first Canadian album to sell more than a million copies within Canada.
