This is how Cajuns became Cajun. The Acadians brought their French aspects with them to Louisiana and turned it into what we know now as Cajun Country. Everything about life on the bayou stems from Acadian and French cultures: Mardi Gras, masks, celebrations, and more. My acestors wound up in Houma, Louisiana.
