The Hits Album 2 or Hits 2 as it is often called, is a compilation album that was released in April 1985 in the UK. The spine of the album as well as the inside cover lists the title as HITS 2 THE ALBUM. It was released by CBS and WEA. It reached in the UK Top 100 Album Chart for 6 weeks. Selected tracks from this and the first album were released on VHS and Betamax by CBS/FOX Video, under the title The Hits Video.

Hits such as Crosscut Saw and Laundromat Blues earned King a new rock & roll audience. These Kentucky boys took a giant leap forward on their fourth album – giant enough to take them from a jammy Americana band to awe-inspiring purveyors of interstellar art rock. My Morning Jacket infused Z with both Eno-esque keyboards and sculpted guitars, but also Skynyrd-style riffs and bar-band grooves.

Since the start of Showtimers Community Theater at the old Roanoke College Lab Theater, we have enjoyed many great shows with outstanding casts. BUT tonight with the audience, we experienced the very best of any and all of those shows at the Showtimers Theater in their fourth production of "Cabaret". The entire experience was exceptional, above any performance we have seen. From the welcoming street-walkers at the front, to the opening music, to the dialog and staging, it all came together in one outstanding production of a difficult and demanding script.
