Talk about Sweet Robots Against The Machine - 3

Envias
A rather experimental album for Towa Tei. In practice, it plays as comedic back and forth chatter, full of puns and punchlines, over Towa Tei's signature blippy-bloopy beats. It's not the most straightforward music, but it's an album I keep going back to for its unusual vibe and character. Rather than battling for attention, it sinks into the background, conveying a series of moments and thoughts. The highlight is "Radio", a moody reimagining of Towa Tei's 2013 pop tune, with its lyrics recited as poetry. The album closes with "Kawaii", in which a woman judges the cuteness of various nondescript things as the beat lingers on the experiential essence of cuteness.
