He recorded 45s for a number of different labels including Revue, Brown Door, Uni, Kon-Kord, and Boola Boola. He also recorded an album ‘Ooh Ooh The Dragon & Other Monsters‘ as Marvin Holmes & The Uptights in 1969 on Uni. Bonus. Marvin Holmes And Justice – ‎1973 – Summer Of ’73. A killer little indie soul set from Oakland’s Marvin Holmes – one that’s quite different than his better known work for the Uni label – and done.
