Centipede" is the debut single by American singer Rebbie Jackson and the title track from her debut album, Centipede. The song was written and produced by Jackson's brother Michael Jackson. He and The Weather Girls also sing backing vocals on the song. It is Rebbie Jackson's only single to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and is her best remembered song. The Weather Girl's Martha Wash's soulful voice is heard quite prominently throughout the song.

Centipede by Rebbie Jackson is great. This album is truly underrated. I love this CD. A must have for any collection. Centipede" was known for its centerpiece filled music video full of supernatural powers (by Rebbie), a wave of tuxedo clad gentleman (of which most of them are robots), and glowing centipedes, a ligthining spitting cobra, and live tiger (looks like LaToya and Michael are'nt the only Jackson members who love animals). The songs's production and music video has Michael Jackson written all over it (yes, the track was written and produced by her younger brother, Michael). Michael himself as well as sister, LaToya, plus Martha Walsh provides the well in-synch background vocals.

Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Jackson-Brown (/ˈriːbi/; born May 29, 1950) is an American singer. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, she is the eldest child of the Jackson family of musicians. She first performed on stage with her siblings during shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in 1974, before subsequently appearing in the television series The Jacksons. Her sister La Toya was born on her sixth birthday. At age 34, Jackson released her debut album Centipede (1984).

Although the Jacksons are R&B's most famous family, being a Jackson never guaranteed longevity. Take Rebbie Jackson, for example. In the 1980s, the sister of Michael, Janet, Tito, Randy, LaToya, Marlon, Jermaine, and Jackie Jackson had her 15 minutes of fame, but despite being very well connected, she never headlined Madison Square Garden. None of her albums had the impact of Janet's Control, let alone Michael's Thriller. But she did enjoy a lot of publicity in 1984, when Columbia released her debut album, Centipede
