Rock Against Communism (RAC) was the name of white power rock concerts in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and has since become the catch-all term for music with racist lyrics. The lyrics usually focus on racism and antisemitism, though this depends on the band. The Rock Against Communism movement originated in the United Kingdom in late 1978 with far right activists associated with the National Front (NF). It was intended to counter the Rock Against Racism organisation.

In response, various white supremacist bands led by Ian Stuart and Skrewdriver held "Rock Against Communism" concerts. The term eventually became used as a euphemism for racist Oi! music and later also hatecore punk and some other styles of hate music. Those who use the term RAC often do so as a way to camouflage the true nature of the racist music, because the term does not make explicit the music's racist nature.
Many bands are against Communism not only for economic reasons, but also from the humanism and liberal aspects of socialism. The irrelevance of race and/or nation in socialism is the salient point they're against in all their anti-left rhetoric. 1987 was a turning point for Rock Against Communism. After a protracted dispute between National Front and several prominent bands, Ian Stuart broke away from the White Noise Club and founded Blood & Honour, a organization whose name was a direct translation of the Hitler Youth's motto "Blut und Ehre". When they weren't playing music, the band squatted around various places in Draveil. Tragedy would strike the following year when Géno drowned following a drunken swim while wearing combat boots, which some speculate was a suicide. With the demise of Totenkopf, Vico and Jean joined Légion 88.
