I'm on Fire" is the debut single by the Dwight Twilley Band released in April 1975. The single peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 1975. I'm on Fire" was later included on the Dwight Twilley Band's first album Sincerely released in July 1976. The single has a unique mix, with added reverb and vocal overdubs compared to the LP version. Dwight Twilley was one of the best and most influential figures on the Southern power pop scene, and unlike Big Star, the Scruffs, or the Sneakers, he achieved that most cherished pop music accolade, a hit single, and not once but twice ("I'm on Fire" rose to number 16 in 1975, and "Girls" managed the same feat in 1984). However, Twilley was just successful enough to end up having record company problems, and his best work has been scattered over several albums for different labels.

The band consisted solely of Dwight Twilley and Phil Seymour, although touring band member Bill Pitcock IV played lead guitar on every song except for Sincerely itself. Due to the split between Leon Russell and Denny Cordell, Shelter Records lost its deal in 1975 and was essentially out of business for a year. Live from Agora was the fourth and final album from the Dwight Twilley Band, recorded live in October 1976 and released in 2009 on Gigatone Records.
